    The Elusive Ebara Teriyaki Sauce

I've tried tons of different teriyaki sauces, many of which were from Japan, and the bottled pre-made one that I like that happens to be vegan is the Ebara teriyaki sauce.

I don't know if it's because the same sauce from Ebara was featured in the anime adaption of Campfire Cooking in Another World. The local Asian and Japanese stores in my county stopped carrying this sauce and replaced it with the Ebara ginger pork sauce, but Ebara teriyaki sauce is my jam...er, my sauce. I've tried to order it from Amazon and eBay, and because I hardly trust food items from either online shopping entities and the price for one was outrageous, I decided to order the sauce from Japanese Taste.

The sauce is sweet and, though many teriyaki sauces are thick like barbeque sauces, the Ebara sauce is more liquid-y and light, so it makes a good marinade. I particularly like this sauce as an add to my panko-crusted tofu cutlets or as the main sauce for my veggie noodle stir fry. If you're a fan of teriyaki sauces that are versatile for different dishes, has more of a sweet flavor (yay, sweet and savory!), and comes in an easy-to-use package, the Ebara teriyaki sauce is a great addition to your fridge shelf.
