The Japanese Taste team recently visited the largest Daiso Japan in Osaka, and we were amazed by the variety, quality, and uniqueness of the items! Daiso is known for its nifty and affordable products, so in this article, we’d like to share five of the unique items we discovered at Daiso Japan. Color Change Cica Foundation Sunscreen

This is the most innovative product on this list! (At least according to the writer.) We mentioned it in our Daiso skincare article, but to recap: it’s a 2-in-1 sunscreen and makeup item with SPF 50 PA++++ protection—the highest in Japan. The foundation itself is green, but when applied to the skin, it transforms to match your skin tone. Plus it’s only 200 yen (less than 2 dollars!).

Japanese Hand Fans (Sensu)

One thing we didn’t expect to find at Daiso Japan were these Sensu, also known as Japanese hand fans. Sensu make great souvenirs and are usually found in more traditional tourist locations like Kyoto. It’s nice to know that you can still find traditional Japanese souvenirs like these Sensu at Daiso.

Butter Spreader

To be honest, butter might not be the most commonly used spread or condiment in Japan, but it’s still good to know that you can find a quality butter spreader at Daiso.
