This traditional tetsubin (Japanese cast-iron kettle) features a kuchinashi (gardenia) shape, designed to resemble the gardenia's soft, curved form. The surface is finished with arare (hailstone) pattern of small raised dots, which improves grip and supports even heat distribution. The cast iron construction provides steady heating, strong heat retention, and is built to last for long-term use.
Unlike lighter kettles, it retains heat longer and provides more consistent boiling. This iron kettle is also traditionally used in tea ceremony settings.
