The title is misleading (no metal) and this strainer does not work as suggested. Most yogurt passes through strainer. Worst purchase ever, another piece of junk plastic going to a land fill. Garbage !

Great strainer and not much bigger than a quart of milk so doesn't take up much room in the fridge. I strain a pint of homemade yogurt in it. The first time I used it, it lost some yogurt to the bottom where the clear whey should be. Second time, I cut a square from a Chemex coffee filter to fit the bottom of the strainer and it worked perfectly. Just clear whey in the bottom rather than milky liquid. I can't read Japanese, so there may have been instructions to avoid my first experience. Very pleased with the purchase.
