Based in the Fushimi district of Kyoto, traditional Japanese sake from Tsuki no Katsura - one of the oldest sake breweries in Kyoto, is something that fans of Japanese sake must experience. Tsuki no Katsura has used the same traditional methods of sake-making for 14 generations and counting to provide genuine and authentic Japanese sake.
Processed with a sake rice called Gohyakumangoku rice, the Bikkuri Gyoten variety is a carbonated sake that has a refreshingly acidic and pleasant fizzy feeling. This modern spin on junmai shu will provide you with a completely new and unconventional sake experience.
Its alcohol content is nearly half that of normal Japanese sake. Bikkuri Gyoten contains 8% ABV while normal varieties of sake are around 15% ABV. The feeling of this sake can be compared to that of champagne. If you are someone who likes bubbly beverages that are on the slightly sweet side, this sake is definitely a must-try for you!
Like most carbonated soft drinks and sparkling wines, Bikkuri Gyoten should be served chilled.
