It is made from domestically processed bonito flakes and kombu seaweed from Hokkaido. A teaspoon of this dashi and you will realize the difference in the flavor and umami of the dish.
One of the advantages of liquid dashi is that you can enrich the flavor of the dish by simply pouring the soup base on to it without fine measuring.
For two servings of soup like miso soup and osuimono (Japanese clear soup), dilute a teaspoonful of soup base with 300ml of water.
For two servings of a simmered dish, dilute a teaspoonful of soup base with 200ml of water.
For two or three servings of dashi soup for hot pot dishes like oden and nabe, dilute a teaspoonful of soup base with 600ml of water.
You can use this product as a secret ingredient in dressings, dipping sauce, and okonomiyaki pancake batter.
